An immigration order that reported caused 30 + hour traffic backups at the U.S./Mexico Border has been repealed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Friday due to fears of economic losses. The order had required additional inspections on all commercial vehicles entering the U.S. from Mexico in an attempt to decrease the influx of migrants and drugs. The American Trucking Association claimed that the inspections were “wholly flawed, redundant and adding considerable weight on an already strained supply chain.” Last year almost four hundred billion dollars worth of goods were imported from Mexico.
