The 4th of July is near and please stay safe! A tractor in Bridgewater, New Jersey was hauling fireworks when one of the tires caught on fire. The incident caused multiple closures on Interstate-287 in NJ. There is no word as to what the actual cause of the fire was but there were two other incidents of trucks reported to have caught on fire.
As reported by The Trucker, one of those trucks “was carrying 5,000-10,000 pounds of fireworks and the other was reportedly carrying corrosive materials”. The fire on the truck ignited the fireworks causing a whole array of fireworks going off during the fire.

If you’re hauling fireworks or even just on the road this holiday week/weekend please be extra careful as accidents like this are more common than we think.
