West Bloomfield Township, Mich. – Friday morning in Michigan an SUV plowed into the trailer of an 18-wheeler.
According to Local 4 News, the accident occurred in the westbound lane on 14 mile Road, just west of Haggerty Road.
A witness said the semi was stuck as he tried to back in to the Kroger lot. He mentions that the semi was parked there for at least 10 minutes prior to the accident happening.
Officials said that the driver of the SUV was an adult male. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. He was the only passenger in the car.

Police are investigating to determine if distracted driving was a factor in the incident.
