Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is responsible for processing and monitoring incoming invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining financial records related to accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of invoices and purchase orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- Match invoices to purchase orders to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Maintain accounts payable files and records.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Assist in month-end closing processes by providing necessary reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws regarding financial transactions.
- Support the finance and operations team with additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Ramp) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
