Time is running out to nominate someone for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.’s 38th Highway Hero Award.
Established in 1983, the Highway Hero award celebrates truck drivers across North America who act selflessly for the good of others while on the road.
Goodyear is still currently accepting nominations via online story submissions to nominate a driver who demonstrated an extraordinary act of courage on the road.
To be eligible, nominees must be a full-time truck driver residing in the U.S. or Canada whose truck at the time of the nominating event has 12 wheels or more. The nominated event must have occurred between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022.
This year’s winner can expect a sizeable monetary reward, custom prizes, and a trip to Orlando for the 2023 Technology & Maintenance Council annual meeting and transportation technology exhibition.
In addition to the grand prize winner, Goodyear will also name two finalists who will receive recognition and prize packages as well.
