Altoona, PA – This month drivers will have the opportunity to feel all the love. With Truck Driver Appreciation Week next week, Sheetz is reducing diesel prices from the days of September 5 – September 30. Fox 29 reported that “Truck drivers will pay $4.49 a gallon at Sheetz stations as Pennsylvania’s average diesel price reaches $5.28 this week.” The current national average for diesel fuel is $5.05 per gallon nationwide, so this price is a steal for many!
Sheetz is also offering a free meal to truck drivers during this month. This meal offering includes a half-made-to-order sub sandwich along with a bag “fryz” and any size coffee or a fountain drink that you would like. You can only redeem a free meal up through the Sheetz Mobile App. You also have to use the code “TRUCKYEAH” to be able to redeem your meal. You only have until September 11 to redeem your free meal.
This is not the first time Sheetz has done this. They have done something similar for the Fourth of July holiday where they lowered prices to $3.99 at a time when prices were surging to about $5.05. This price reduction will be active and in full effect at all 654 stores that have diesel fuel. Sheetz has been rapidly expanding its presence in Greater Columbus since its debut a year ago. They have up to 15 stores in that region and plan on expanding to a total of hopefully 50 stores by the year 2025.
Sheetz President and CEO expressed that “Truck drivers are the backbone of this country. As a company, we are committed to showing appreciation for our customers. We wanted to go above and beyond for Truck Driver Appreciation Week by providing extended offers that will be unquestionably beneficial to them.”
