A UPS driver in Atlanta was kidnapped and tied up inside the trailer of their truck during an armed robbery last week, WGXA News reported.
Atlanta police were called to Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW and Bankhead Court NW around 9:15 a.m., according to a police report. Officers found the victim and other UPS employees at the scene.
The victim had been driving a UPS tractor-trailer from a nearby facility, according to WGXA. While stopped at a traffic light around 3:30 a.m., someone reportedly got into the truck with a gun and forced the driver to take them to Bankhead Court.
There, more people tied the victim up and stole the cargo from the trailer. UPS was able to track the missing trailer to the area later in the morning. Employees found the driver uninjured inside the trailer.
This is reportedly an ongoing investigation by Atlanta Police Robbery Investigators.
