A woman driving a bread truck in Los Angeles led police on a chase through Compton on Thanksgiving, according to CBSLA.
Police were called around 9:10 p.m. to an intersection where the truck driver was accused of reckless driving. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said she refused to stop for officers and a chase began.
The bread truck drove over sidewalks and toppled small trees while speeding through the city of Compton, CBSLA reported. Police were able to slow down the truck with spike strips and the suspect momentarily stopped in a parking lot before continuing.
Eventually, the truck stopped near Atlantic Avenue. The driver reportedly jumped out and tried to run but multiple deputies caught up to her.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Thanksgiving. She was not identified by reporters or police.
