Crowley Maritime Corp., a global logistics provider, announced that it has added a new location to its list of cities it currently supports with the Wreaths Across America program, a nonprofit organization that coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies for American veterans globally.
The company has been the primary sponsor of the Wreaths’ Puerto Rico ceremonies in San Juan and at Crowley’s headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida for the past three years. This year, Crowley has added sponsorship of a third location in Eddystone Pennsylvania, home of the company’s government supply branch.
On December 17, Crowley will donate over $40,000 worth of logistics services along with employee volunteers to transport and lay wreaths on veteran graves in all three locations.
“This partnership is our grateful opportunity for Crowley and our partners to thank men and women who served our country as well as the dedication and sacrifices by veterans, active-duty military and their families make every day,” said Wally Gonzalez, director of business development and supply chain management for Crowley Solutions at its government services business unit.
Salvador Menoyo, company vice president of Puerto Rico and Caribbean Logistics said in a news release, “We are proud to share in this mission and look forward to laying wreaths in December to remember the legacies of so many heroes.”
